Covered in a Layer of Greece

Warm weather, friendly people, amazing food and incredible views. Going to Greece isn’t exactly a hard sell. Knowing what to wear, that’s always the dilemma.

Santorini, Greece, is a treasured holiday destination, known for its beauty, elegance and unforgettable views of the Aegean Sea and volcanic landscapes. It is known for the stunning whitewashed buildings nested into the island’s dramatic cliffs.

Everyone is an amazing photographer when in Greece.

The white and blues of the buildings and scenery were breathtaking. It’s kind of hard not to fall in love with the place. No matter which way you look, it’s a postcard, so it’s super easy to think that you’re suddenly a world class photographer.

Located about 200km southeast of Greece’s mainland, Santorini is the largest of the Greek islands. Santorini is the Venetian name for the island – it is also known as Thera (the Greek name) or Fira (the English translation). The island was formed as a remnant of a volcanic caldera, a kind of sinkhole after a volcano goes kaboom.

White plaster buildings contrasting against the blue sky and sea. Yeah, that’s the Celestia Grand hotel in a nutshell. We stayed there, giving us the ultimate Greek experience. The hotel is nested into the Caldera cliffs, and featured these adorable pebble stone steps and pathways. I mean, cute, but killer in heels – espadrilles and flats for the win!

Just chilling all natural like in a doorway in Santorini, Greece. Like one does.

I loved walking through the town in my flowy white dress and casual flats. It was effortless, yet I felt pulled together. Hats were one of my favourite accessories there and added a chic element to most any outfit.

The white buildings provided a really neutral canvas to play with though, allowing some fun and amping up of the glam factor. I loved matching some demure florals with metallic silvers for a pretty yet totally badass warrior gladiator vibe.

This fringed Dee Ocleppo bag captures alllll the mediterranean feels.

I am obsessed with the Dee Ocleppo round blue purse with the fringe on it. It really just seemed to “fit” in Greece and I took it everywhere with me.

Ultimately, whether you want to embrace your inner bohemian or go full glam, the stunning setting of Santorini will welcome it all.
