If there’s one thing we all want, it’s healthy, glowing skin. And if there’s one thing that we all have in common, it’s a shared struggle with achieving just that.
Korea is known for their beauty standards. While not all of their standards are achievable or healthy (they have one of the highest rates of cosmetic surgery in the world), they do have some incredible products to help people work towards flawless, youthful skin.
Glow Recipe is a K-beauty* company and they are committed to natural, harsh-free products. One of their signature products is the Watermelon Glow Sleep Mask. I gave it a try. I mean, hey, if this can make my skin look like it belongs on a K-pop* star, why wouldn’t I?
The mask is so pretty. It’s a lovely pink colour and has a light, pleasant fruity smell that comes from the amino-rich watermelon extract. The smell doesn’t linger though, which is important as a sleep mask.
The mask has this great jelly consistency to it, what Glow Recipe refers to as “bouncy”. One thing to note is that when you open the jar, you might notice that the mask has separated a little bit. Being an all-natural product, this separation is normal. Spend a minute or so stirring it up to combine and activate all those natural ingredients until it’s all bouncy in the jar.
The mask is so nice and light on your skin. My skin soaks it right up and just loves it. It’s a sleep mask, so just head right on into bed. It’s a pillow-proof formula so you don’t even need to change into that gnarly sleep mask pillow case.
Sleep the night away dreaming of watermelon eating contests, bouncing on a giant bowls of watermelon jello or cooling down on a hot summer day in a watermelon hat.
A little goes a long way with this mask. I use just one little scoop to cover my entire face and use it around twice a week. So awesome value for the price point on this one.
When I wake up from a night in the Watermelon Glow Sleep Mask, my skin is incredibly refreshed and hydrated. And I know it works because while I’m washing it off in the shower I find myself singing K-pop and smashing out some killer dance moves.
This one is absolutely a Lemon Love.
Go get your glow on!
